Think you've been scammed?

Please report it straightaway if you think you’ve been a victim of a scam or fraud. If the fraudulent act relates to Novuna Personal Finance, contact 0344 375 5500 (selecting option 2) or email our fraud specialists.

For all other instances of fraud, please report it to the associated bank or financial organisation as soon as possible. You may also wish to contact Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040 or use their online reporting tool.

Look out for common scams

There are lots of scams out there and it’s getting tougher to spot them. Social engineering attacks are still regularly used to trick people into giving up their personal details, but there are many other loan-related scams too.

We’re unfortunately seeing a rise in the number of criminals purporting to be Novuna Personal Finance, asking for private information or an upfront fee before the money for a loan can be released. Please be extremely vigilant and get in touch with us directly if you’ve received any communication from us you think may actually be a scam.

Protecting yourself from fraud

Always stay alert to potential scams. We shouldn’t have to be suspicious of every email, message or call that comes through – but it’s often the best way to spot a fraudster.

Remember: never provide personal or sensitive information (such as your bank account details or passwords), even if a so-called trusted source requests it from you. Reputable finance providers will never ask you to make an upfront payment either - so please do not pay any advanced fee for a loan.
